1. Camping, because it seems like everyone goes camping every summer. Not only in the summer do people camp, but they camp in the winter, spring, autumn and any other season there might be in the world. People will even camp on Christmas which is a cold day where in my opinion people should stay in cuddle and be with their family pigging out.

2. Hanging out with friends is overrated. First of all, don't most people already do that pretty much everyday of their lives? I mean unless you don't have friends then that sucks for you, but for others that do have friends; don't you seem them if not everyday, every other day? Yeah, you can make amazing memories with friends but summer is about exploring new things not just being with the people you already see at school, work or in your neighborhood.

3. Staying home- I know a lot of people might not have the money to go on a nice vacation maybe to California, Florida or any other nice place there might be in this world. Instead of staying home all summer go out on a walk or something. There are many public parks that one could go to. Maybe to play soccer, basketball, or anything instead of staying home. 

4. Watching TV- The typical American spends thousands of hours sitting like a bum in front of the TV.  What could one possibly be watching that is so interesting that you could sit in front of the TV for hours without blinking.

         Four years from now, will we look back on this election as a positive or negative moment in our country’s history?


     In all honesty, I was extremely happy that Obama won. We got to keep a lot of the bills and laws he passed, such as the DACA program. I believe that if this time Obama keeps his promises that he made since last year and the ones he made this year, we could look at this in a positive manner. If he does not keep his promises from last year and the ones he made this year, then some of us might regret voting for Obama and look at it in a negative way. If we look at all the positive things Obama did you can see that he did not just waste four years in the white house. He brought our troops back from war and I believe made peace treaties with the countries we were in war with. He helped out with food stamps and created a better program for the ones in need of food and financial assistance. He did lower taxes in certain areas and he also bumped up the taxes in others. Although, with our country being in debt as it was handed to Obama because of President Bush. We know that four years is not nearly enough time for Obama to make a great impact in our country. That is why this year of 2012 America decided to give Obama a second shot at it. If he fails to serve our country in a positive way and hopefully keep the countries debt low, we will all look at his second term as a negative thing.

Today I read an article: " Unusual Suspects; Little girl abducted on her way to pick up groceries."

   After reading this article it got me thinking that there is a dangerous world out there. In this article a nasty man raped and killed a little eight year old girl after she was coming back from the grocery store. This man was a COP; a person of authority who is supposed to be protecting our society, instead he went around raping girls and then killing them. We live in a messed up society, how can I walk in the streets now a days knowing that there might be a cop out there that could be the same as this man in this article. This article shows that you can trully trust NO ONE.

Western conference to me is the most exciting part of the NBA. James Harden originally from Thunder was traded to the Rockets over the lockout weekend. They kept Serge Ibaka but the public questions this move because they are not sure if he will fall short and lead them to the high ends of the play offs. 

The nuggets have been dealing with Carmelo Anthony drama for the last couple years. As a result of this, Wilson Chandler and Kosta Koufos will now be playing for the nuggets since they have always been benched. 

The Trail Blazers is  the fourth- or fifth-best team in the deep division.

The Rockets did not get to trade for Dwight Howard or Andrew Bynum but became a far more better team because they gained  Jeremy Lin and James Harden. Lin is believed to bring "publicity" to the Rockets. Harden is still questionable on the team.

Chris Copeland, New York Knicks  Shockingly, the oldest roster in the league has overcame  many injuries  in the  preseason. Marcus Camby, Amar’e Stoudemire, J.R. Smith, Rasheed Wallace, and Ronnie Brewer have all been put on hold. Because of this, Chris Copeland, is now the star of this team. Copeland proved to be a deft finisher on the pick and roll and  displaying a touch from outside. He averaged 15.5 points on 51.7 percent shooting. Copeland has became a player the Knicks are relying on to provide size and scoring during the season.

The Nets were considering moving to Brooklyn because of desperation of the off-season.

Deron Williams stayed and Joe Johnson as well and they keep several other small players, they wanted to keep it simple so it would not cost them as much money, for the next seasons coming up. 

The Knicks let go of Jeremy Lin from Stanford university and  Laundry Fields was also let go by the Knicks. The Knicks only signed players from the 90's.

The 76ers got Andrew Bynum which is considered a dominant leader and Raptors persuaded Jonas Valanciunas to sign with them. Which the NBA hopes that Toronto will become a more interesting team after this trade. 

Celtics will take advantage of Kevin Garnett's last few years in the NBA. Ray Allen was traded for a younger version of him, Jason Terry. 

Derrick Rose from the bulls will miss most of the season because of his previous knee injury. This is leaving Kyrie Irving as the best player in this team.

La Llorona is a legendary story that originated in Mexico. According to everyone around the city the story of the Llorona is based on a true story. Before I tell the story there are some things you have to know. This story contains very emotional and disturbing descriptions of what a mother will do to her children when she is not happy. On a dark rainy and windy night, a young lady walks down the foggy street on her way home. She sees an old crusty looking man walking right behind her. He was been following her for the past thirty minutes while she was walking towards her destination. Every time she turns her head around she sees him just a couple feet behind. On the last time she turns around she sees no one....She turns her head to start walking forward again and suddenly his face is right in front of her. His face had a bloody scar right through the middle with a scruffy mustache and beard to accompany it. He picks her up with all his force and drags her by her hair towards a dark misty dirty ally. Her heard racing a thousand beats per second, wanting to pop out of her chest and run away. He starts grabbing her legs and feeling her up, and as you can predict she was raped. He left her there lying like an old used rag in the middle of the ally. Months passed and she never returned home she just wondered the streets asking for money and food. She was a lost little girl not knowing what to do. People noticed her stomach was getting bigger every month. Until one day, on the ninth month she had a miracle baby. She hated the baby so much that she drowned the baby in the river. For the next 30 years she had been raped multiple times and she did the same to the other babies. She drowned a total of fourteen little babies, and killed four. When it was her turn to die, she went up to heaven and knocked on gods door. God opened the door and she asked if she could come in. Go said, " if you ever want to come into my kingdom, you must go in the river and find all the bones of all the children you drowned." She went back down to earth and started looking in the river, she found nothing but dirt, sand, and other river particles. She remembered god had told her she could not come back to heaven if she did not kind the baby bones. Till this day the legend says that she has been roaming around at night crying, " My babies, where are my babies?!?!?" Her spirit roams around the streets in Mexico haunting all the people that are walking around at night.  

snickers vs. 3 mustkateers

    

     In my strong objective opinion..I believe that three muskateers is better than snickers. Why? Simply because I do not like peanuts. I think peanuts are very gross and nasty looking. They are the only type of nuts that I don't like. I do not really like the combination of peanuts with chocolate and caramel. I feel like it is to much sweetness added to the candy bar. Yes, I know it is candy and candy is supposed to be sweet. But too much sweetness is just not so sweet at the time when you have to go to the bathroom...if you know what I mean. The reason why I prefer Three Mustakeers rather then Snickers is because they are simply amazing. I love how every time I take a bite out of the candy bar it is like it almost melts in my mouth. I love how it is chewy and the perfect combination of the softness on the inside and the hard milk chocolate on the outside.

            I am from arriving at my house from school to my mothers cuisine hugging the air. I am from a family of seven, me being the oldest and having to take responsibility for everything that happens at my house. I am from losing my biological father at a young age to gaining  a fantastic step father that gave me that father figure. I am from coming home everyday to the yelling, screaming, stressful household that I call a "home." Being forced with responsibilities such as taking care of my little sibilings. I am from not wanting to do my homework and being lazy at home. I am from being yelled at for not doing my chores or making my bed when I wake up each morning.

The lockout was a couple weeks ago and let me tell you it was one of the best lockouts I have ever encountered! This year the main goal of the lockout was to lower cost and competitive balance between the players. One of the trades that really impacted me was the trade of James Harden. James The coaches stated that if James Harden stayed in the thunders there would be "luxury penalties" in the future.I believe they made a hug mistake in taking him out of OKC but later on in the season we will see.

   In this article it talks about players in the NBA. Mostly stating players from Miami Heat and The Los Angeles Lakers. The article talks a little bit about Lebron James and his achievements in the NBA and in the 2012 Olympics. Lebron James became more then "just a star," he lead the Miami Heats to the championship season winners and also won the Olympic gold metal for the United states. They talked about the controversial statement of him "overshadowing" Kobe Bryant from the Lakers.
    The lakers decided that Dwight Howard will play with Steve Nash, Bryant and Pau Gasol. With Dwayne wade and Chris Bosh as Lebrons partners in Miami Heat, the top seven superstars are now on both teams. Everyone has there eye out on the Lakers and Miami Heat. Even though the LA lakers and the Miami heat are ranked two of the best teams in the NBA they still have competition. The second place team last season in the finals Oklahoma city thunder is coming back and it is coming back strong. They plan on making it to the finals and this time hopefully take the trophy home. OKC is not the only team that wants that trophy though, Indianapolis and Denver will try to take it home as well. This is about to be an interesting season.
